VOICE UK - Promoting Justice for Vulnerable Victims of Crime

Voice UK

VOICE UK supports people across Manchester with learning disabilities and other vulnerable people who have experienced crime or abuse or who may be risk of being maltreated. We also support parents, carers and professionals.

We are currently in the process of setting up a regional office here in Manchester, focusing on:

  • delivering ‘keeping safe’ workshops across Manchester
  • self help groups for victims of crime and abuse
  • training for both professionals and people with learning disabilities
  • supporting vulnerable victims of crime through the criminal justice process
  • raising public awareness of disability hate crime

We intend to play an active role in communities across the region.

There will be plenty of ways to get involved and help make a positive difference to the lives of others:

  • Disability hate crime awareness seminars
  • Volunteer
  • Self help group meetings
  • “Keeping Safe” workshops for vulnerable people
