We are employed by Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service as your local Community Fire Safety Officers, we work closely with Local Authorities, other key community groups and emergency services to improve the safety and quality of life within the borough. Our area of work covers South Manchester which consists of Moss Side, Withington, Wythenshawe and surrounding Wards.

We provide a service which may include visiting your venue to deliver a presentation or talk in relation to any of the following subjects:

Fire Safety in the Home (including Bonfire/Fireworks)
Hoax Calls
Attacks on Fire Fighters
Arson
Car Crime

The groups we work with are varied and include:

Local Schools
Mother/Toddlers
Homewatch
Carers
Primary Care Trusts
Housing Schemes

Smoke Alarms Save Lives!
FREE SMOKE ALARMS

Today local Firefighters visited one of your neighbours to carry out a ‘Home Fire Safety Risk Assessment’. As well as giving advice on Fire Safety and Escape Plans we also fitted two smoke alarms (with 10 year life batteries) FREE OF CHARGE !
