Northern Moor - a Different Perspective

A documentary showing the real Northern Moor through the eyes of residents was premiered on Tuesday 25 August.

The film has emerged from the efforts of local people to give an alternative view of their area after it was negatively depicted on the TV show 'The Duchess on the Estate' featuring the Duchess of York.

Residents, supported by the BBC, have filmed a portrait of their community which gives an alternative view.

The short film, which was given an audio broadcast live on air on Radio Manchester at 10am, was premiered at The Manchester College on Sale Road, Northern Moor, from 10am-11am on Tuesday 25 August. The film will also be featured on the BBC website.

The event was compered by Radio Manchester breakfast show presenter Allan Beswick.
